We seek an interim Anglo-Catholic Priest in Charge, initially for three years, to boost our growth and mission, whilst offering modern liturgy. We are very healthy and vibrant parish church, that is growing steadily, and now we need a new dynamic individual that can increase our momentum and take us to the next level!
About Us:
St Andrew’s is the beautiful coastal parish church of North Deal, under the episcopal care of the Bishop of Richborough and under the ecclesiastical authority of the Archbishop of 兔子先生, delegated to the Bishop of Dover. We offer a solemn and traditional style of Anglo-Catholic worship that is unique in the area.
- we strive to be a missional Anglo-Catholic church, believing that God is at work in the world and as Christians go out into the world, God has gone before and is already at work through the Holy Spirit.

- we endeavour to deepen the spiritual life of the congregation.
- our church buildings and attached hall are used by a wide variety of local groups, as well as being a venue for concerts, including in the Deal festival of Music and the Arts.
The Role:
As the interim Priest in Charge, we challenge you to have a contagious zeal for the spreading of the Gospel, the mission of the Church and:
- be a firm, but loving able leader, committed to working closely with the PCC, churchwardens and the parish, as well as the deanery and diocese
- be innovatory in encouraging young people within the parish to join our St Andrew’s family.
- be focused on the importance of the Mass at the centre of parish life.
- preach in an engaging and accessible manner.
- be working with safeguarding at the core of all that we do.
- have a kind and caring nature towards pastoral care.
- help us to grow during this interim period into the church that we know that we can become.
- attend events within the church and elsewhere in the name of St Andrews, to spread Gods love.

- a realistic, but still challenging, Mission Action Plan, covering the next five years.

The role is a 0.5 stipend position including a very pleasant and spacious rectory, situated in the peaceful grounds of the Church.
